Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today I'm going to walk you through how to install Demco's Diode Wiring Kit on your 2014 Chevrolet Captiva Sport. Diode wiring kit, as you can see, is going to allow us to transfer light signals from our RV to our vehicle while it's being flat-towed, so that we're safe and legal. And other people are going to know what we're doing, whether we're breaking, turning, or driving at night.It's going to be a very simple installation. It's going to give you the four pole wiring to run from the front of the vehicle to behind each taillight. You're going to have diodes that are going to connect to the factory wiring. more

Today we're going to be showing you how to install the Roadmaster Universal High Powered Diode Kit for Towed Vehicles. Part number on it is RM-154. Now for the front we're going to use the plug and bracket that come with the Roadmaster Seven to Four Wire Flexo Wire Kit. That part number is RM-164-7. The short bracket we have here is part number 18140. Now this is what our kit's going to look like. more

Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Captiva Sport

Today on our 2013 Chevy Captiva we'll be installing the Roadmaster taillight wiring kit with bulb and socket, part number RM-155. First we'll go ahead and open up the rear hatch. We'll then access the two fasteners behind the taillight assembly. Once we remove the two fasteners we can then pop the taillight assembly out of its position to gain access to the back of the taillight assembly. Now with our driver's side out, we'll move over to the passenger's side and repeat the same process. We'll need to find a suitable location for mounting the new bulb and socket. more
